Job Summary

The Production Manager - Operations Lead will be responsible for effectively managing the factory work operation in the execution of the overall production plan, while driving down process costs for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a background in manufacturing and operations management.

About the Role

As a key member of the Page Group team, the Production Manager - Operations Lead will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating production loading plans with cross-functional teams
  • Identifying and addressing training needs to maintain quality output in accordance with quality procedures
  • Promoting a lean environment and contributing to the strategic development of the company
  • Accurately reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitoring budgets and targets
  • Implementing working practices to reduce health and safety risks to as low as reasonably practicable
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of production staff

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A supervisory or management background in a high-density business environment
  • A sound knowledge of lean and problem-solving tools
  • Previous experience of leading a team and driving a culture of lean and continuous improvement
  • Familiarity with Microsoft packages and root cause analysis, corrective actions, 4D, 8D problem-solving, and QRQC problem-solving
