Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled National Account Development Manager to join our team at Research Council. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our value retail customers, driving business growth and expansion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and execute customer relationship strategies to drive business growth and expansion.
  • Commercial Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement commercial plans that meet customer needs and drive business results.
  • Negotiation and Account Planning: Negotiate and plan customer agreements, including pricing, promotion, and distribution.
  • Market and Category Insights: Stay up-to-date on market and category trends, customer needs, and consumer dynamics to inform business decisions.
  • Leadership and Stakeholder Management: Lead internal business planning and stakeholder management to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in UK account management in a retail FMCG brand environment, preferably with experience in the discounter's sector.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to work with others to deliver a specific customer strategy.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to demonstrate NSV growth achievement and a strong ability to seek out further growth.
  • Strategic Capability: Strategic capability, strong internal networks, and cross-functional relationship building skills.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to deal with ambiguity, lack of data, and difficult customer conversations.
  • Education: Degree educated (or equivalent).
