About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Nurse to join our Research & Development Department at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Senior Research Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting the safe conduct of research in accordance with the UK Clinical Trials Regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP). You will be responsible for ensuring that the rights, safety, and well-being of trial participants are protected.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit patients and follow them up during treatment and in clinics, providing a high standard of protocol/individualized care.
  • Work collaboratively with the research and multidisciplinary teams to manage and coordinate clinical trials.
  • Be accountable for the assessment, planning, organization, and ongoing care of research participants, while maximizing compliance with study/trial protocol.
  • Provide expert direction, support, supervision, and management of staff, and assist with the training of staff to ensure they conform to protocol and practice guidelines.
  • Use relevant knowledge to perform research procedures in accordance with study protocols and extend this experience to support others in the research team and other healthcare professionals where appropriate.
Requirements
  • Registered nurse/AHP with medicines management.
  • Educated to degree or specialist equivalent experience.
  • ICH-GCP.
