Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Youth Worker at a Mainstream Primary School in Shropshire and Telford. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the internal exclusion room, managing student behaviour, and overseeing an internal exclusion programme that aims to return students to their lessons better equipped to manage their behaviour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the internal exclusion room to ensure a safe and supportive environment for students.
  • Manage student behaviour by implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour and reduce incidents.
  • Oversee the internal exclusion programme, working closely with teachers and support staff to ensure students receive the support they need to return to mainstream lessons.
  • Manage and analyse behaviour data to inform teaching practices and improve student outcomes.
  • Support students with their return to mainstream lessons and provide guidance on managing behaviour after school impositions.

Requirements

  • Professional qualification or experience working with young people.
  • Good communication and numeric skills, as well as IT and administrative skills.
  • A positive role model, enthusiastic, and flexible individual who can work effectively in a team.
