Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Goods In Operator to join our team at AG Barr. As a key member of our logistics and supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and receive inbound and outbound deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
- Manage site transfers, coordinating with external storage sites to ensure timely and efficient material movements.
- Implement and maintain a first-in-first-out (FIFO) stock control system to optimize inventory levels and minimize waste.
- Ensure a safe and organized working environment, adhering to health and safety protocols and maintaining high standards of housekeeping.
- Collaborate with the upstream team leader and other stakeholders to achieve site performance goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a logistics or warehousing function, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures and best practices.
- Highly competent IT skills, with experience working with JDE or similar systems.
- Valid FLT license (Counterbalance, Reach) or willingness to obtain.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to plan and organize work efficiently, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
