Job Title: Art and Design Educator

Job Type: Full-time, Long-term Supply Position

Location: Tower Hamlets, London

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and committed Art and Design Educator to join our team at a well-known Secondary school in Tower Hamlets. As an Art and Design Educator, you will have the opportunity to make a long-term impact on students' creative development in a loving and dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver creative and inspiring art lessons that cater to a diverse range of abilities.
  • Give comprehensive lessons that align with the school's curriculum and national standards.
  • Provide constructive feedback to support students' artistic growth.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience as an Art Teacher in a UK-based school.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Art and Design.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with educational best practices.
