Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Technology Risk and Controls Director to join our team at JP Morgan Chase Bank, National Association. As a key member of our Corporate Functions, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing our technology risk management strategy for our Asset & Wealth Management business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Technology Risk Management Strategies
    • Design and implement technology risk management strategies, policies, and processes to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, and drive strategic projects and initiatives to enhance our technology risk management capabilities, in line with industry best practices and our standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversight and Guidance
    • Provide oversight, guidance, and mentoring to the execution of SME technology risk services delivered by the team to business and technology stakeholders.
  • Emerging and Upstream Technology Risk
    • Identify and escalate emerging and upstream technology risk through the execution of our risk management framework, and provide expert counsel to stakeholders and constituents regarding their security obligations, facilitating acceptable outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Relationships
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including key cross-functional team leads, regulators, compliance, and auditors.
  • Reporting and Governance
    • Maintain oversight of reporting and governance of overall controls, policies, issue management, and measurements - providing insight to senior leaders into the effectiveness of controls and inform governance work.
Requirements
  • Senior-Level Experience
    • Significant demonstrable experience and expertise at a senior level in technology risk management, information security, or a related field, with a focus on managing risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
  • Risk Management Frameworks
    • Demonstrated expertise in risk management frameworks, industry standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to the financial industry.
  • Leadership and Communication
    • Proven ability to lead teams, manage cross-functional projects, influence executive-level strategic decision-making, and effectively translate technology insights to business strategy in communications with senior executives.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Knowledge and experience leading data security, risk assessment & reporting, and control evaluation, design, and governance, with a track record of implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Public Cloud Technologies
    • Experience with Public Cloud technologies, such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
