Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welding Instructor to join our team at WEC Group Ltd. As a Welding Instructor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality training to our apprentices, ensuring they develop the skills and knowledge required to excel in their careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of the Level 3 Plate Welder standard to apprentices, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
- Develop and implement a smooth onboarding process for new apprentices, ensuring they feel welcome and supported throughout their training.
- Instruct and train apprentices in various welding and fabrication techniques, using your expertise to help them develop their skills and confidence.
- Assess apprentices' progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate skill development and improvement.
- Work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of workshop organization and safety, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
- Maintain training facilities and equipment to the highest standards, adhering to Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Strong and competent welding and fabrication skills, with the ability to pass on your knowledge to others.
- Ability to work effectively, using your own initiative to achieve results and meet deadlines.
- Leadership and management skills, with the ability to train and develop others to achieve desired outcomes.
- Fully conversant with welding, fabrication, and engineering drawings, with a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
