Lighthouse Green Fuels, a part of Alfanar Energy UK, is embarking on a groundbreaking Advanced Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) project in Europe, backed by a £1.5 billion investment package. This is an exciting time to be part of our team as our project gains momentum and the UK Government implements legislation mandating SAF usage.

We are seeking a Junior Purchasing Officer to join us on a contract basis at our site in Teesside for a project duration of approximately 2-3 months. This role will provide cover while a team member is away.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate activities with our centralised Supply Chain department.
  • Collaborate with and assist the accounts department for purchasing-related activities.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services with accurate quantity and specification.
  • Prepare required documentation (Expenses Sheets along with supporting invoices and relevant documents) as requested by the accounts team.
  • Maintain site procurement plans and other procurement records, including soft and hard copies of all POs issued along with complete supporting documents.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate standards and processes in purchasing and procurement.
  • Be responsible for maintaining audit documentation.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role in O&G, renewables, construction, or heavy engineering.
  • Understanding of Business agreements, Contract terms and conditions.
  • MRP/ERP knowledge.
  • Strong MS Office experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and high drive.
  • Comfortable with change and working under time pressure.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
