About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Junior Trading Manager to join our team at Superdrug. As a key member of our e-commerce function, you will be responsible for owning and optimizing product data and promotional execution on our website.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Data Management: Ensure all products benefit from best-in-class presentation and are launched in a timely manner.
  • Promotional Execution: Accurately and diligently execute promotions and onsite creative coverage.
  • Communication: Strong communication with suppliers and key stakeholders.
  • Product Launches: Execute top-class launches, including accompanying suites of imagery and engaging product information.
  • Product Hierarchy: Ensure products live within the correct hierarchy and are easily findable through site navigation/search.
  • Ongoing Review: Review and maintain products, ensuring up-to-date product descriptions and content to drive website conversion.
  • Promotional Setup: Own and execute the promotional setup (website) throughout the year.
  • Creative Elements: Ensure any/all creative elements are set up diligently, utilizing correct assets and links.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships with, but not limited to; Customer Services, Commercial, Supply Chain, and relevant Supplier teams.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Trade Reporting: Provide weekly sales reporting to Unilever and attend SD trade meetings, making recommendations against data to drive areas.
  • Online Event Planning: Own and execute Unilever events, including thinking of new ideas, proposing to commercial teams, briefing design teams, collating assets, stock management, regular sales updates, and post-event analysis.
  • Promotional Planning: Work alongside the Trading Manager to offer recommendations for online promotional plans, including flash sales and bundles.
  • Post-Event Analysis: Provide monthly performance updates to Unilever, including trade/ecom recommendations and sharing learnings with the wider ecom team.
  • Joint Business Plan: Manage the Unilever online joint business plan alongside the Trading Manager.
  • Stock Management: Assist with stock management of key SKUs, NPD, and GWPs/PWPs, reviewing online allocations with supplier contacts.
  • Aspirational Tools: Implement aspirational tools online, such as finder tools, and provide analysis on performance.
  • Briefing Content: Brief aspirational content for brands, including blog articles and content pages.
  • Cross-Functional Meetings: Drive cross-functional meetings with supplier and internal teams for planning, eventing, and activations.
