Nurse Associate Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Associate to join our team at Mid Dorset Primary Healthcare Ltd. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our registered nurses in their daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients while undertaking specific clinical and care tasks under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Provide routine care to patients as required, in accordance with clinical evidence, NICE, and the NSF.
- Contribute to the delivery of integrated care and work with a supervisor to develop your clinical competence, leadership, and reflective practice skills.
- Support registered nurses to enable them to focus on more complex clinical care.
- Perform and record clinical observations, such as blood pressure, temperature, respirations, and pulse.
- Provide flu vaccinations, ECGs, and venepuncture, and other relevant clinical tasks as required.
- Advise patients on general healthcare and promote self-management, including signposting to personalized care colleagues and local community services.
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient health records, using Ardens templates on SystmOne.
- Process pathology results as required.
- Enhance your performance through continuous professional development and impart your knowledge and behaviors to meet the needs of the service.
We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and qualifications:
- Registered nursing associate and on the NMC register.
- Meets the specific qualification and training requirements as a Nurse Associate.
- Ability to take part in reflective practice and clinical supervision activities.
- Ability to organize and prioritize own delegated workload.
- Knowledge of IT systems, including ability to use word processing skills, emails, and the internet to create simple plans and reports.
- Ability to work as a team member and autonomously.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and carers, and all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
