We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our Asset Management team in the Birmingham area of the West Midlands region.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a geographical area of canals, river navigations, and reservoirs, ensuring the maintenance and repair of assets.
- Conduct scheduled asset inspections, prioritizing defects based on risk, and define maintenance, repair, and renewal works.
- Provide technical advice during project feasibility, design, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Support internal and external enquiries, responding to relevant information sources.
- Develop relationships with local stakeholders, regulators, and partners to protect and improve service levels.
- Professional qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge and understanding of historic infrastructure, preferably in a water environment.
- Experience in assessing infrastructure risk and cross-functional working.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Competitive salary of £36,000 - £41,500.
- Car cash allowance (£390 per month).
- Contributory DC Pension scheme arrangement.
