Job Title: Principal Clinical Psychologist - ISF Clinical Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Clinical Psychologist to lead our Intensive Support Function (ISF) within the Community Learning Disability Teams (CLDT). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic and clinical leadership to deliver high-quality specialist assessment and therapy services to individuals with complex needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology, with experience in working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviors. You will be responsible for leading a team of clinical psychologists and other professionals to provide specialist assessment, formulation, and intervention services to individuals with complex needs.

You will also be responsible for developing and implementing evidence-based practice, conducting risk assessments and risk management plans, and providing clinical supervision to junior staff members. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of policies and procedures, and participate in research and audit activities to improve service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and clinical leadership to the ISF team
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice
  • Conduct risk assessments and risk management plans
  • Provide clinical supervision to junior staff members
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures
  • Participate in research and audit activities
Requirements
  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council as a Practising Psychologist
  • Experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviors
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
