Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Quality, Safety and Patient Experience Directorate, Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust, for an Administrative Support Coordinator. The post is part-time (hours per week) on a permanent basis in our newly implemented structure. The base will be at either Matrix One - Swansea, Beacon House - Cwmbran or Ty Elwy - St Asaph, plus home working. To be confirmed on appointment.
Main Responsibilities
Provide administrative support on specific projects within the Quality, Safety and Patient Experience Directorate, liaising directly with the relevant managers across the department.
Be the first point of contact in receiving and registering complaints from the public and any queries or requests for information from both internal and external stakeholders.
Provide administrative support across all of the Quality, Safety and Patient Experience functions, providing opportunities for the postholder to gain a wide knowledge and experience base.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

To provide comprehensive administrative support to members of the Quality, Safety and Patient Experience Directorate. The post holder will work within the overall framework of the NHS PTR Regulations and Duty of Candour and Trust Policies and guidelines for the management of administrative support on specific projects within the Quality, Safety and Patient Experience Directorate, liaising directly with the relevant managers across the department.
Key Requirements
- NVQ level 3 in Business and Administration or equivalent qualification/experience.
- Experience of working in an administrative environment, including co-ordinating diaries/rotas and allocating tasks, as well as dealing with complex queries.
- Able to demonstrate the Trust values. Self-Motivated. Flexible approach to work. Team player, and able to work as part of a team. Able to work on own initiative.
- Good telephone manner. Excellent communication skills. Advanced keyboard/word processing skills. Familiar with Microsoft Office packages. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to suggest changes to administrative practices to improve performance of the team.
Desirable Requirements
- Ability to speak Welsh.
