The team leader works in close partnership with the Commander and SAR coordinator, providing updates directly to the SAR Coordinator.

  • • Offer direction, support, and encouragement to team members during missions.
  • • Conduct regular team meetings to ensure effective communication.
  • • Promote a collaborative and positive team atmosphere.
  • Training & Development:
  • • Equip staff with the necessary skills to maintain a proficient Rescue Team.
  • • Develop and refresh training materials as needed.
  • • Oversee training initiatives and provide mentorship to team members.
  • • Strategize professional growth opportunities for the team.
  • Organization & Management:
  • • Strategically plan long-term assignments and coordinate daily operations.
  • • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to crew members effectively.
  • • Supervise operational activities and team meetings.
  • • Make informed tactical decisions and coordinate mission operations.
  • • Ensure the completion of all reports and handovers.

Essential Qualifications:

  • • Proven experience in SAR operations within the Central Mediterranean Sea and/or Aegean Sea.
  • • Strong navigation skills.
