About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Engineer to join our team at Trevett Professional Services Ltd. As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical and electrical plant, identifying and resolving issues, and maintaining a high level of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete planned maintenance work for mechanical and electrical plant to schedules and identify any issues.
  • Respond to reactive calls throughout the building and ensure that plant faults and defects are identified, remedied, and maintained at all times.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork regarding maintenance work and process it to administration as soon as possible.
  • Enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) across the team and ensure that health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Supervise and monitor subcontractors' work while they are on site completing maintenance tasks.
  • Provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice.
  • Ensure that computer-based maintenance systems are kept up to date and maintenance tickets are closed accurately.
  • Operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with company quality and guidelines.
  • Carry out additional duties as required (training provided).
Requirements
  • Basic education with written and spoken English and basic maths skills.
  • Former training in electrical/mechanical maintenance is essential.
  • BMS knowledge.
  • Experience in maintaining all relevant mechanical and electrical equipment is essential.
  • Ability to work at heights, including vertically ascending and descending equipment.
  • Experience working in a critical environment/data center.
