Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Manager to join our team at VanRath. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end monthly payroll process for all employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the payroll function, including the supervision of 3 payroll associates, monthly payroll in 3 jurisdictions (UK, Republic of Ireland, and Isle of Man), year-end payroll processes, and administration of organizational compensation and benefits.
- Review and evaluate current ways of working within the team to create efficiencies and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of monthly temporary data entered into the payroll system and implement robust procedures for payments made.
- Act as a point of contact for payroll colleagues to escalate complex issues.
- Record and pay all third-party payments on a monthly basis, including pensions, attachments, and revenue.
- Collaborate with Management Accountants to compile and reconcile monthly payroll reports in a timely manner to ensure operational accounts can be posted on time.
- Ensure payroll systems are up-to-date, including operating software and data integrity, and escalate any issues to third-party providers.
- Provide payroll-related information and analysis to HR, Operational, and Finance colleagues for salary reviews, TUPE transfers, Employer Liability Claims, and Insurance.
Requirements
- Recognized payroll qualification and 3 years' experience in running the end-to-end payroll process.
- OR In the absence of formal qualifications, 5 years' experience as detailed above.
