Emergency Medicine Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medicine Consultant to join our team at the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a medical professional to work in a designated trauma unit and contribute to the design of a brand-new Emergency Centre.
Main Duties- Provide first-class clinical care in Emergency Medicine, working with other members of the team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Take an active role in the management and administrative workload of the Department, contributing to planning and developing the service.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with medical colleagues in other specialties, participating in regular clinical meetings and postgraduate activities.
- Participate in the on-call rota, ensuring that appropriate Emergency services are provided out of normal working hours.
- Take an active share of responsibility for the professional supervision and development of trainee doctors within the specialty.
The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is the main provider of acute hospital services for around half a million people in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and mid Wales. Our main service locations are the Princess Royal Hospital and the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, which provide a wide range of acute hospital services, including accident & emergency, outpatients, diagnostics, inpatient medical care, and critical care.
Job PlanA formal job plan will be agreed between the successful candidate and their Clinical Director and consultant colleagues, outlining the consultant's duties, responsibilities, and objectives for the coming year. The job plan will be reviewed annually and will provide a clear schedule of commitments, both internal and external.
