About the Role:

Mackenzie Jones is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the critical path of new product development, working closely with suppliers, and ensuring that products are brought to market in line with market competition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage critical paths and key dates for all resource and new lines
  • Brief suppliers on new projects and negotiate best pricing
  • Ensure familiarity with customer's current ranges and identify potential gaps in range
  • Work with and manage critical paths and key dates for all resource and new lines
  • Negotiate best pricing and ensure all products being brought to market are in line with market competition

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years' experience in an administrative/support role preferably as an Assistant Buyer within a Buying office environment managing a critical path, samples and developing new products
  • Experience in Far East sourcing and negotiating with suppliers
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a structured and methodical manner and to deadlines
