Job Summary:

ASL Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Evening Shift Factory Supervisor to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management, with experience in supervising a team and ensuring the smooth operation of factory processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Production Team Leader to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient production workflows
  • Manage and process time sheets for production team members
  • Ensure production team members have the necessary resources to complete tasks
  • Work from issued drawings and sign off work as required
  • Hold team members accountable for meeting production targets
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met in and around the factory
  • Train staff on quality standards and procedures
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized factory floor
  • Report on key production data and ensure accurate recording
  • Work with the team to improve production efficiency in key areas such as Laser Cutting, Press Brake, or Welding and Fabrication
  • Follow company ISO9001/BSEN1090 QMS procedures for goods in and goods out processes
  • Accompany team members on supplier and customer visits to ensure quality and process standards are maintained
  • Report any deviations from agreed standards

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar production management role
  • Knowledge of steel work and engineering drawings
  • Experience in Laser Cutting, Press Brake, or Welding and Fabrication
  • Good IT skills
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Valid UK driving license and own transport
  • Forklift license (training can be provided)

Salary and Benefits:

£19.25 per hour depending on experience

Working Hours:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 41.25 hours per week
  • Permanent
