Factory Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Evening Shift Factory Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the production team during the evening shift, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This role requires a strong understanding of production processes and the ability to manage a team to achieve production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Production Team Leader to prioritize tasks and ensure that production targets are met.
• Manage and gather time sheets from the production team for processing.
• Ensure that all production team members have the necessary resources to complete tasks.
• Work from issued drawings and sign off work as required.
• Hold team members accountable for meeting production targets.
• Responsible for ensuring health and safety standards are met in and around the factory.
• Train staff on quality standards as needed.
• Responsible for maintaining the general appearance of the factory, including keeping the floor space clear of clutter and rubbish.
• Report on key data for the department and ensure it is recorded.
• Work with the team to improve production in key areas, such as Laser Cutting, Press Brake, or Welding and Fabrication.
• Follow all processes and procedures contained within the company's QMS.
• Accompany others during supplier and customer visits to ensure quality and processes are maintained.
• Report any deviations from agreed standards.

Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience in a similar position.
• Experience in either Laser Cutting, Press Brake, or Welding and Fabrication.
• Knowledge of steel work and a clear understanding of engineering drawings.
• Good IT skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A full valid UK driving licence is essential.
• A forklift licence is desirable.

Salary and Benefits:

£19.25 per hour, depending on experience.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday.
• 41.25 hours per week.
• Permanent.
