The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cleanliness Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental Services team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the team to provide high standards of cleanliness and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Conduct deep cleans in various areas of the hospital as required, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Operate cleaning equipment and chemicals responsibly and in accordance with established protocols.
- Clear clinical waste in a manner that ensures staff and public safety.
- Maintain warning signage and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning or a related field, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control principles.
- Understanding of cleaning products and COSHH regulations.
- Excellent literacy and communication skills to interact with staff, patients, and visitors.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
