Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Housing Options Support Officer who possesses strong organizational, customer service, and administrative capabilities to deliver a variety of administrative and reception support within the Resettlement and Housing Options Teams.
Your responsibilities will include direct engagement with clients, providing essential advice and assistance to those who reach out to the Housing Options teams. You will implement administrative support to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently, report progress to the relevant Team Managers, input project data and customer records into ICT systems accurately and promptly, and share information appropriately across services.
This position involves collaboration with other Community Housing Services staff and liaising with both internal and external partners, as well as community organizations.
The role will require you to work across two separate teams, with designated days spent in the Council's Housing Options Office.
About You
The successful candidate will play a vital role within the Community Housing Service teams. You will operate with a degree of autonomy under the general guidance of your Team Manager, addressing often complex customer inquiries and sourcing appropriate information to provide relevant advice regarding housing matters.
Utilizing your initiative will be essential to ensure that systems and processes are adhered to effectively while providing critical administrative support across the teams.
Key responsibilities include determining priorities, maintaining project trackers, identifying necessary corrective actions, and escalating issues as needed. Comprehensive training on processes, policies, and systems will be provided.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively to ensure timely delivery of work objectives.
