About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at Tops Day Nurseries. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out general maintenance and repairs across our nursery sites, including basic carpentry, plumbing, and painting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks to ensure the nursery sites are well-maintained and safe for children and staff.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment, furniture, and other nursery assets.
  • Ensure outdoor play areas are safe and well-maintained.
  • Assist with setting up and taking down equipment for activities and events.
  • Support with light gardening and keeping the nursery grounds neat and tidy.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from staff in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the Nursery Manager to schedule and prioritize tasks.

Requirements

  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair techniques.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Relevant qualification within maintenance field desirable but not essential.
