Job Title: Factory Maintenance Engineer

Are you a skilled Maintenance/Shift Engineer looking for a new opportunity with a leading FMCG manufacturer? Our client is a renowned company in their field, manufacturing and exporting goods worldwide. With secure shift patterns, a strong base salary, and overtime premiums, this is a great opportunity for those commutable from neighbouring towns such as Wrexham, Mold, Oswestry, and Conwy.

Job Summary:

As a Factory Maintenance Engineer, you will work as part of a team conducting preventative and reactive maintenance on plant machinery and dealing with any breakdowns, across both electrical and mechanical disciplines. The shifts are rotating, 4 on 4 off, with a minimum of 3 years engineering experience required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting preventative and reactive maintenance on plant machinery
  • Dealing with breakdowns across electrical and mechanical disciplines
  • Working as part of a team to ensure smooth production operations
  • Managing contractors on-site and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Providing technical support and guidance to colleagues
Requirements:
  • Nationally recognised apprenticeship in an engineering discipline
  • Formal engineering qualification to NVQ Level 3 or higher, in an electrical or mechanical subject
  • Multi-skilled with experience in electrical and mechanical disciplines
  • Proven experience of working within the food industry, preferably in a bakery environment
  • Health and Safety/Basic Food Hygiene trained
  • Ability to work 12-hour shift patterns, including days, nights, and weekends
  • Some business travel may be required
