Shift Engineer

Location: Bala

Salary: £40,000 - £46,000 per annum + pension

Hunter Selection is working with a leading manufacturer of private label cupcakes in the UK to find a skilled Shift Engineer to support the running of their factory.

The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving breakdowns and delivering maintenance, as well as driving improvement across the site in terms of new machinery, hygiene, quality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in a clean and orderly manner in compliance with the Company's Hygiene Code of Practice.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety standards are met, and that all equipment complies with Company and legal standards.
  • Manage Engineering time effectively to minimize downtime.

Requirements:

  • Multi-skilled with formal engineering qualification to NVQ Level 3 or higher in an electrical or mechanical subject.
  • Proactive approach to fault finding, commitment to continuous improvement, and personal development.
  • Physically fit, capable of manual handling, working at height, and standing for long periods.
  • Able to work 12-hour shift patterns, including days, nights, and weekends.
