Sportradar is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our team and help take our Odds services to the next level.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating high-quality technical documentation for internal and external audiences. They will be able to quickly learn and understand complex topics, and have a natural desire to help educate their audience.

The Technical Writer will work closely with software engineers and product owners to plan, create, and maintain technical documentation for our products. They will be responsible for writing and publishing user-friendly content, including user guides, API documentation, and troubleshooting manuals.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, and be able to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to manage competing priorities in a constantly changing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, create, and maintain technical documentation for internal and external audiences
  • Write and publish user-friendly content, including user guides, API documentation, and troubleshooting manuals
  • Work closely with software engineers and product owners to gather insights and develop documentation plans
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and users to gather feedback and refine content
  • Edit and clarify draft documents from team members, ensuring coherence and adherence to style guidelines
  • Promote a consistent tone of voice and coach non-writers on improving their writing skills
  • Advocate for the developer persona, shaping products and documentation to meet their needs
  • Work closely with Product, Design, Engineering, and System Administration teams to translate technical information into clear documentation
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in technical writing
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics
  • Experience in technical writing, product documentation, and content publishing
  • Ability to read and understand programming languages like Java and.Net
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a constantly changing environment
  • Willingness to innovate on documentation tools, like introducing AI workflows
  • Curiosity and awareness of the latest technologies
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to explain ideas and the thinking behind designs
  • Experience using developer tools to create documentation
