About the Role

Care Support is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care Team Leader to join our team at Dreywood Court, a vibrant and friendly Extra Care scheme in the South East. As a Care Team Leader, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of care and support are delivered to our clients, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support a team of care workers to deliver high-quality care and support to clients
  • Undertake spot checks, audits, and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Provide specialist care and support to clients with complex needs, including those with learning disabilities
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including GPs, social workers, and therapists
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Previous experience of supervision in a residential or domiciliary care setting
  • Formal care qualification, such as QCF/NVQ Level 2 or 3
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
  • Even-tempered and able to cope with pressure
  • Good negotiation, planning, and organizational skills
