Position Overview: We are in search of skilled procurement professionals with a proven track record in Category, Commodity, and/or Project Purchasing. Your expertise will be essential in sourcing materials and equipment that align with our strategic objectives, ensuring optimal commercial terms. This role demands a proactive approach and the ability to develop comprehensive procurement strategies in a dynamic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all procurement functions.
  • Identify and source components and systems that meet technical and commercial requirements.
  • Coordinate and execute sourcing decisions in collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Procurement.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable commercial terms while considering technical feasibility and quality standards.
  • Achieve project targets related to material costs and timelines.
  • Continuously monitor global supply market trends that impact our operations.
  • Develop and align category strategies across various functions, taking into account market developments and internal needs.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain for the designated category.
  • Manage fluctuations in raw material availability in collaboration with suppliers.
  • Engage with Engineering, Commercial, and Industrialisation teams to establish future demand plans.
  • Leverage connections within the broader INEOS organization to enhance procurement effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in categories such as EE, Powertrain, Interiors, Exteriors, Accessories, Body, and Chassis.
  • Proven experience in procurement from concept through to industrialization and operation.
  • Strong project management skills with a history of successful delivery.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior suppliers.
  • Demonstrated strategic procurement experience and/or involvement in New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Effective time management and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP is advantageous, with training provided.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of German is a plus.
  • This role involves significant travel.
