Position Overview

Genesis Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Lead Compliance Engineer to join our esteemed client, a leader in the off-highway vehicle sector. This role is ideal for individuals with extensive expertise in vehicle electrics, electronics, and control systems, particularly in relation to compliance and functional safety standards for a global audience.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of E&C and Functional Safety components within all New Project Introduction Process (NPIP) initiatives to ensure comprehensive delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with various business units to meet E&C compliance requirements, supporting the Technology Readiness (TR) process.
  • Maintain up-to-date status trackers, reflecting the progress of all assigned projects.
  • Engage with engineering teams responsible for delivering essential project outputs both in the UK and internationally.
  • Utilize diverse analytical techniques to address complex systems.
  • Facilitate the implementation of innovative techniques and processes across the engineering team.
  • Contribute to the evolution of NPIP and TR processes to enhance delivery efficiency, streamline reporting, and minimize issues and changes.
Required Knowledge and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • In-depth understanding of complex electrical and electronic systems.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering and the V-model lifecycle.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments.
  • Proven project delivery experience and support capabilities.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory frameworks.
  • Expertise in Electrical Distribution Systems (DC – LV).
  • Awareness of machine networks, including EMC, radio, and telemetry systems.
  • Understanding of machine cybersecurity standards such as IEC 62443 and ISO.
  • Strong IT skills for reporting and metric development.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies for quality and process enhancement.
  • Experience in the off-highway or automotive sectors.
