Scientist I, Anti-Infectives

Evotec is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Scientist I to join our Alderley Park scientific team. As a Scientist I, you will play a key role in the organisation, conduct, and delivery of pre-clinical studies to support multiple drug discovery projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in the organisation and conduct of pre-clinical studies, including adherence to protocols and working in compliance with Evotec quality requirements.
- Perform procedures and experiments according to specific working instructions and protocols, and within timelines required by the project.
- Contribute to data analysis and written study reports.
- Maintain the laboratory workspace to high standards, supporting operational roles including compound receipt and stockkeeping.
- Comply fully with the company safety policy and documentation in performing experiments.
- BSc (or higher/equivalent) in a life sciences discipline with relevant focus OR equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience working in a microbiology laboratory at containment level 2 is essential, and experience of using a range of methodologies, working with bacteria, fungi or viruses using good microbiological laboratory practices is essential.
- Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry or CRO environment would be advantageous although not essential.
