Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced In Vivo Scientist I to join our team in the Anti-Infectives department. As an In Vivo Scientist I, you will be responsible for the organization, conduct, and delivery of pre-clinical studies to support multiple drug discovery projects.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure compliance with established procedures, protocols, and quality, regulatory, and safety standards.
  2. Prepare for in vivo studies, including material preparation, facility setup, and microorganism cultivation.
  3. Adhere to Evotec guidelines for accurate documentation of laboratory experiments.
  4. Contribute to data analysis and the writing of study reports.
  5. Maintain a high standard of laboratory workspace organization, supporting operational tasks such as compound receipt and inventory management.

Requirements:

  1. BSc (or equivalent) in a life sciences discipline with relevant focus OR equivalent relevant experience.
  2. Experience with laboratory animal work is essential. Being a current UK Home Office Personal licence holder is also essential (PIL A, B & C).
  3. Experience working in a laboratory at containment level 2, working with bacteria, fungi or viruses would be advantageous.
  4. Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry or CRO environment would be advantageous although not essential.
