McElroy Resourcing is seeking a highly skilled Product Design Engineer to join our team. Our client, a leading engineering company, is looking for a talented individual to design and develop new products and improve existing ones.
Main Responsibilities:
Design and develop new products and improve existing ones using 3D modeling software.
Collaborate with the R&D team to create and modify parts and technical drawings.
Work closely with the wider team, including management, marketing, and production, to ensure seamless new product development.
Implement new technologies, manufacturing processes, and materials to improve product quality and efficiency.
Sourcing and liaising with suppliers of purchased components to ensure timely delivery and quality.
Follow engineering change control procedure to ensure compliance and quality.
Requirements:
A Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline with 3 years of related design and development work experience.
Strong knowledge of 3D SolidWorks and Microsoft packages.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
A team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
