Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Service Manager for Environmental Maintenance, offering a range of exceptional benefits:
- Hybrid/Flexible working arrangements (approximately three days required on-site each week)

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee environmental initiatives related to the city's highway network, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and best practices in construction and street cleansing.
- Lead the development of strategic plans to execute the council's Ten Point Plan for Climate Action, aimed at achieving net-zero emissions.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Director to strategically shape the future of the Highways Maintenance service, guiding service delivery and leading technical teams.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in roles defined under the Highways Act 1980, Environmental Protection Act 1990, and Environment Act 2021.
- Expertise in Arboriculture surveying and assessments.
- Knowledge of street cleansing standards and nationally recognized monitoring methodologies.
- Experience in formulating winter maintenance policies and strategies for highway infrastructure.
