Director of Engineering - Analog and RF IC Design

A new opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Director of Engineering to lead the development of high-performance Analog and RF IC solutions at Onyx-Conseil. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the architecture development, design, integration, and delivery of complex multichip RFIC-based module solutions for wireless connectivity applications at 2-9GHz.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage RF product and IP development for TX/RX wireless modules
  • Collaborate with Marketing and customers to define product specifications and requirements
  • Conduct architecture studies and feasibility simulations
  • Ensure use of latest simulation methodologies
  • Hire, mentor, and train new team members
  • Provide status updates to senior management
  • Travel to customer sites and other company sites as required

The successful candidate will have a strong background in RF IC Design, excellent understanding of the wireless market, and leadership experience. Industry degree qualified, the candidate will have a minimum of 15 years' relevant experience relating to Analog/RF IC Design and leadership/team management experience.

Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of RF IC components, including Switch/LNA/PAs
  • Semiconductor process technologies, such as CMOS, GaAs/Silicon HBT, SOI, BiCMOS
  • Interfacing with customers
  • Leading cross-functional product teams
  • Wireless communications standards knowledge, such as Wi-Fi or LTE
  • RF simulation tools, including ADS, Cadence, and EM tools
