As Scientific Director, you will:

  • Cultivate strong client relationships and spearhead new business opportunities within the healthcare communications landscape.
  • Mentor and empower a team of talented medical writers, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Provide expert scientific input throughout the strategic planning process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and impactful content across all mediums.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and award-winning work, continuously refining our approach to maximize project effectiveness.
  • Lead client meetings and communications strategy discussions, effectively conveying complex scientific information in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Produce and edit high-quality copy for diverse media formats, prioritizing user experience and project flow.
  • Develop a distinct writing style that resonates with various audiences, tailoring communication to specific needs and objectives.
  • Contribute to new business development efforts by crafting persuasive proposals and delivering compelling pitches.
  • Maintain the highest standards of quality control, ensuring timely delivery of exceptional work.
  • Effectively manage a multi-disciplinary team, fostering collaboration and driving project success.

Your qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Medical Writer within an agency setting, demonstrating a proven track record of success.
  • Extensive experience collaborating with global pharmaceutical companies and interpreting creative briefs to deliver impactful solutions.
  • A strong scientific background with expertise across various therapeutic areas, ensuring comprehensive understanding of complex medical concepts.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in developing and mentoring teams of medical writers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • In-depth knowledge of clinical research, drug development processes, and industry regulations, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all deliverables.
