Job Overview

TCHC Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our new 16 – 19 education and training centre in Watford. As the Centre Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of the centre team, operations, and curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and manage a team of educators and support staff to implement the TCHC Group vision and curriculum.
    • Provide strategic and effective leadership for the operational success of the centre through effective staff management.
  • Relationship Building
    • Build and extend effective local and/or national relationships that support the growth of the centre.
    • Attend network meetings with referral agencies and local authorities to ensure the centre is positioned effectively to support these stakeholders.
  • Learner Support
    • Ensure support interventions are put in place for learners who may be at risk.
    • Monitor and manage the behavioural management and attendance monitoring of learners.
  • Centre Operations
    • Manage the learner recruitment process to effectively reach centre capacity.
    • Oversee the EHCP process within education to ensure targets are being achieved.
    • Monitor and manage the centre's finances with the finance department.
  • Safeguarding and Compliance
    • Act on safeguarding concerns promptly and report to the safeguarding manager.
    • Ensure timely review of EHCPs.
    Requirements
    • Management qualifications from Level 3 (Desirable)
    • Quality assurance qualification (Desirable) or willingness to work towards
    • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and maths at grade C or above (Essential)
    • Experience managing teams within an educational setting (Essential)
    • SEN qualifications and experience (Essential)
    • Experience and understanding of an EHCP (Essential)
    • Background in further education either with a training provider or College
    • Experience in managing administrative responsibilities ensuring operational tasks are successful (Essential)
