About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Nexter Ltd. As a key member of our nursery staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children of all ages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development and Care: Provide sensitive and nurturing care to children, including nappy changing, feeding, and toileting routines.
  • Activity Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development, aligning with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Observation and Assessment: Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with room staff.
  • Parent and Carer Relationships: Build positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child's progress.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to learn, adapting to different classroom routines and age groups.
  • Nursery Environment: Contribute to the overall health and safety of the nursery environment.
Work Arrangements
  • Placement Opportunities: Experience diverse settings and age groups through placements at our partner nurseries.
  • Flexible Shifts: Choose shifts that suit your availability, with a minimum of 8 hours per week (1 shift).
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education or a related field (or actively working towards a recognized qualification).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 months' experience working in a nursery setting (if no formal qualification).
  • Passion and Skills: A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their development, strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: The ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to different environments.
  • Paediatric First Aid: For qualified staff, a full (or blended) current paediatric first aid certificate is required.
