We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities (CWD) team in Durham. As a Social Worker in this team, you will play a vital role in supporting children with disabilities and their families, ensuring they receive the care, services, and resources needed to thrive.
Key Responsibilities- Assess the needs of children with disabilities and their families, and develop and implement plans to meet those needs.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals, including healthcare professionals, teachers, and other social workers, to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting children with disabilities.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to children with disabilities and their families, and help them to access the resources and services they need.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote the well-being and inclusion of children with disabilities.
- Experience of working with children with disabilities and their families.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with children, families, and other professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and to contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of the laws and regulations that govern the support of children with disabilities, and the ability to apply this knowledge in practice.
