About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our specialist team in Camden CAMHS Children Looked After and Unaccompanied Asylum Seekers. Our team provides vital mental health support to young people, their carers, and the wider professional network involved in their care.
Your Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of mental health needs and recommend appropriate interventions and support services.
- Develop personalized care plans and deliver therapeutic support to children, young people, and their families.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist advice and training on best practices in supporting this vulnerable population.

Our community-based Integrated service line is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of young people. We are a multidisciplinary team committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care within a supportive and collaborative environment.
What You Bring to the Role
- A minimum of a degree-level qualification plus specialized knowledge in mental health practice with young people.
- Registration with the HCPC or a relevant professional body.
- Proven clinical experience in assessing and addressing the mental health needs of children and adolescents.
- A strong understanding of the NHS and Social Care systems.
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Ability to effectively manage your own clinical caseload with attention to detail and organization.
- Commitment to personal duty of care and proficiency in basic keyboard skills.
- A comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and risk management principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to accurately assess and communicate client conditions to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated awareness of equality, diversity, and inclusion best practices.
- A proactive, positive, and enthusiastic attitude with a strong work ethic.
- The ability to thrive in a team environment while remaining calm and composed under pressure.
Other Requirements
- Willingness to travel as required for client visits or meetings.
- Proficiency in using Information Management Technology (IMT) systems.
