Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will support the Manufacturing Engineering team, learn production and assembly processes, and work with production support teams on process developments. The role involves technical problem-solving, creating and maintaining master data, production instructions, and SOPs, as well as participating in setup reduction workshops and cycle time optimization exercises.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Aid with technical problem-solving through production and assembly
  • Assist with master data creation and maintenance
  • Production instruction creation and maintenance
  • Design and order tooling and work holding
  • Creation and maintenance of SOPs
  • Team working on 8D and CAPA
  • Take part in setup reduction workshops
  • Take part in cycle time optimization exercises
  • Participation in production, scrap, and project meetings as required
Requirements:
  • Minimum of UK level 3 qualification preferred, other qualifications will be considered depending on experience
  • Good English and Mathematics
  • Exposure to CAD, tooling, and work holding design, desirable
