Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer - Multi-Skilled

Job Summary:

Just Food Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer - Multi-Skilled to join their team. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for providing maintenance cover to a 24/7/365 factory, ensuring the smooth operation of plant, equipment, and buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide maintenance cover to a factory that runs 24/7/365, operating as the main point of contact and taking the initiative to resolve issues.
  • Use multi-skilled knowledge to maintain and enhance the performance of plant, equipment, and buildings, working within HSE regulations.
  • Provide first-class, flexible support to the business, maintaining production requirements and factory services at all times.
  • Work a 4 on 4 off continental pattern, with two 12-hour day shifts and two 12-hour night shifts, on a contractual weekly average of 42 hours per week.
  • Cover holidays and sickness, demonstrating flexibility and a positive can-do attitude.

Requirements:

  • Time served electrical/mechanical or multi-skilled apprenticeship.
  • Recognised electrical or mechanical qualifications, with the ability to demonstrate and facilitate electrical competency tasks.
  • Three years minimum of maintenance experience working in a production environment (post qualification).
  • Competent electrical fault finding and analysis skills, with the ability to read and follow electrical drawings.
  • Self-managing and motivated, with the ability to prioritise daily preventative maintenance tasks against customer demand callouts.
  • Flexible working attitude, with the ability to work hours outside of your normal rota as required.
  • Experience in pneumatic circuits.
  • Competent and confident with both electrical and mechanical kit, with a practical approach to fault finding.
  • Positive can-do attitude, with the ability to muck in with whatever is required to maintain the factory building and machinery.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written/typed format, with confident and competent communication skills.

Package:

  • Circa £42,000 per annum (£19.08 per hour).
  • All overtime is payable.
  • 24 days annual leave + bank holidays.
