Girlswear Designer

The Senior Designer will be part of the dedicated Kidswear team and will report to the Design Manager. Working within a small team, this role will be hands-on and will create and develop design concepts for young and older girlswear. The Designer will be involved in all aspects of the business from initial concept to finished product and ensure we are providing high-quality, latest fashion to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement design concepts for girlswear, working closely with the team to ensure commercial awareness and brand alignment.
- Collaborate with production to ensure all products are designed and manufactured in line with customer direction and critical path, often within tight deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and third parties based in the Far East and Europe.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and themes, ensuring the brand remains competitive and relevant.
- Generate detailed tech packs and have a strong understanding of garment technical knowledge.
- Proven experience in high-street fashion design, specifically in girlswear.
- Commercial awareness and ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Ability to design shape, graphics, and generate detailed tech packs.
- Driven, results-oriented, and proactive individual.
- Educated to degree level, ideally in a qualification related to fashion design, business, or retail.
