Scientific Editor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Editor to join our team at Redwood Publishing Recruitment. As a Scientific Editor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of scientific manuscripts published in our journals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manuscript Editing: You will be responsible for editing scientific and technical manuscripts for language and readability, ensuring that they meet our high standards.
  • Content Verification: You will verify the factual content of manuscripts, checking for accuracy and consistency.
  • Peer Review Coordination: You will work with authors and reviewers to ensure that manuscripts are thoroughly reviewed and edited.
  • Collaboration: You will collaborate with internal teams and the wider scientific community to ensure that our publications meet the highest standards.

Requirements:

  • Education: A PhD in the biological sciences is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Time Management: You must be able to manage high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Scientific Knowledge: You must have a strong understanding of scientific principles and be able to maintain a high level of scientific knowledge.
