Job Title: Reinsurance Claims Specialist

Position Overview:

The Reinsurance Claims Specialist will play a pivotal role in adjusting and evaluating Lloyds, London, and International reinsurance claims within the Lloyds Syndicate framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proven experience in Marine reinsurance claims is crucial. Familiarity with Property, Casualty, Political Risk, and Aviation sectors is advantageous.
  • Assess initial claim notifications, confirm coverage, and ensure accurate reserving for both proportional and excess of loss contracts.
  • Maintain comprehensive electronic claims records, validate settlements, and deliver exceptional claims service to clients.
  • Acquire a deep understanding of Treaty Reinsurance across various classes.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with brokers, legal representatives, and clients.
  • Collaborate internally with Underwriters and Reserving Actuaries.
  • Evaluate and interpret policy coverage for Reinsurance claims, leveraging strong communication skills and knowledge of the London market.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a reinsurance claims environment with a focus on Marine Reinsurance Claims.
  • Proficient in London Market Systems ECF 2 and IMR.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong client relationships and exhibit effective client management skills.
  • Stay informed on current losses and events, showcasing a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Customer-oriented and dedicated to delivering high-quality service.
  • Possess relevant legal or insurance qualifications such as Cert CII, DIP CII, ACII.
