About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced midwife to join our Community Midwifery team as a Deputy Team Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive team environment, delivering high-quality care to women and their families across Nottingham and South Nottinghamshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement community midwifery practice to improve health outcomes for mothers and their babies.
  • Evaluate patient processes and redesign pathways of care to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Work collaboratively with women and their partners to provide evidence-based midwifery care and support informed decision-making throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period.
  • Support the Manager in the ongoing management of rosters, ensuring safe staff cover and effective resource allocation.
  • Contribute to the performance management of community midwifery by ensuring data collection and audit information is submitted in a timely manner.
  • Prescribe medication within scope of competence, in accordance with legislation, national, and local guidelines.
Requirements
  • Registered and practicing midwife with a strong background in community midwifery.
  • Experience in dealing with safeguarding issues and working with vulnerable families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of different IT systems, including Systm1 and Medway.
  • Ability to respond, prioritize, and analyze complex problems or situations, with effective time management skills.
  • Current UK driving license and sole use of a car.
