About the Role

The Peak District National Park Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rural Estates Manager to join its team. As a key member of the Assets and Enterprise Service, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and ongoing development of the Authority's land-based estates.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in rural estate management, with a strong understanding of conservation, recreation, and heritage assets. You will be a RICS qualified Rural Surveyor with sound experience of all normal rural estate management duties and other associated professional work.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of 6,070 hectares of property within the National Park
  • Developing and implementing estate management plans, guided by the Authority's Asset Management Plan
  • Providing technical support and line management to the Rural Estates Team
  • Managing budgets and financial targets, including sales to generate extra capital when required
  • Working with building surveyors and Corporate Property professionals to ensure the effective repair and maintenance of rural buildings
