Job Title: Senior Safety Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Safety Engineer to join our Product Integrity Team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and integrity of our products and services throughout their engineering lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with customers to agree delivery timescales and allocate tasks to suitably qualified and experienced individuals within the team.
  • Generate and evaluate aircraft, system, and sub-system design safety in support of safety qualification and certification requirements.
  • Maintain and update hazard logs for the platform and support products, while generating safety assessments and design justifications.
  • Review platform and support products certification evidence and generate safety certification arguments to assert that the platform and support products design is acceptably safe.
  • Ensure safety engineering evidence supports acceptable safety certification of the product design.
Requirements:
  • HND/HNC/Degree or equivalent in a STEM subject, or relevant experience.
  • Safety engineering experience and critical and analytical thinking along with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong self-motivation and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
