About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Community Paediatrician to join our team at Northampton General Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing expert care to children and young people with a range of developmental, genetic, and neurological problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consultant-led community paediatric services within the area of south Northamptonshire, including regular out-patient clinics and assessments of children within the CDC.
  • Liaise with schools and education authorities as necessary to ensure seamless care for our patients.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary assessment and management in a collaborative way with all members of the team.
  • Provide paediatric advice and support for pupils attending a Special School.

Requirements

  • MRCPCH or equivalent qualification.
  • CCT for Community Child Health or evidence of Level 3 competencies in Community Child Health.
  • On the GMC specialist register or within 3 months of CCT.
  • 5 years Higher Specialist Training, including 3 years in Community Paediatrics.
  • At least 2 years General Professional Training in paediatrics.
  • Training and experience of safeguarding work and possession of up to date Level 3 Safeguarding training.

Travel Requirements

The role involves travel between sites, so access to private transport for work purposes is essential.
