Exciting Opportunity for a Legal Assistant

Avocet Legal Careers is pleased to present a challenging and rewarding role for a skilled and motivated individual to join a leading law firm as a Legal Assistant based in Launceston.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality administrative support to the Litigation team, including audio typing, copy typing, and document management.
  • Handle client inquiries and take accurate messages, following up on agreed actions to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Manage diaries and schedules, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with colleagues and clients.
  • Oversee email account management, ensuring timely and effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Support fee earners with file management, ensuring compliance with firm policies and procedures.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including post duties, to maintain a well-organized and efficient work environment.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • Strong IT and Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to adapt to new systems and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Flexibility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional confidentiality and discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
